One of Charley Harper's newest lines is Michigan Audubon. I thought it was cute enough to purchase a fat quarter pack. There is a panel included in the pack too.
Yesterday afternoon became a social time so most of my effort in the studio was cleaning off tables. If I could learn to not make so many piles I wouldn't have to do the clean up so often.
I got this quilt back from my longarm friend Robin yesterday. Since the quilt is so scrappy I'm thinking about making the binding scrappy too. I have lots of 2.5" strips of Kaffe collective fabric that aren't full width that I could use.
Lol...you should see my table...Love the quilt!!

Love that scrappy quilt! Having a panel included with your FQs is really nice, I love panels. I have piles too, but they are going to stay there until I work on them! ;)
ReplyDeleteHope the social time was pleasant and energizing! LOVE the Charley Harper stash acquisition -- a nice way to feather your nest.
ReplyDeleteLovely CH new stash enhancement!!
ReplyDeletePretty scrap piece all quilted--;)))
43 here and sunny...winds have finally died down after most of our leaves have fallen--Tom is going to try one last mowing for mulching...
Resting my hands over this weekend--Mr. Arthur-itis has reared his ugly head...;(((( Instead, I will be die cutting some 2" squares from scraps I've made with this current project...
Hugs, Julierose
I just can't get started on anything near the sewing machine if I don't clean the table off, I no some just keep moving stacks out of the way and work on a tiny area but I can't do that
ReplyDeleteI enjoy Charley Harpers unique style of birds and animals . All having a touch of whimsy. And your scrappy quilt is anything BUT scrappy. You’ve taken these pieces and made them shine.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love the multi HST quilt and you are so right about the scrappy binding!
