Making progress.......................

I cut the last group of rectangles for the integrated border on the floral quilt.  A couple of them are directional so they won't be used on the side borders.

Next was finishing the layout.  I'm using the same fabric in all 4 corners and I didn't pin on the bottom 2.

There are 10 columns now and I got 7 of them sewn into rows.  Three more to go and then all of the cross seams.

I did cleanup outside while it was in the 50s yesterday.  I have 3 pots to dump today and then I'm done outside.

I would have even thought to use florals for the border; they look wonderful! I didn't get anything done outside this weekend. Everything is so wet still. My neighbor has a huge arborvitae, and I have got stuff all over my yard from it shedding. The stuff it sheds sticks in the grass and is hard to move with the leaf blower.

I need to dump the geraniums and the chrysanthemum. There are two maple trees on our street that still have most of their leaves. Meanwhile your fabric flower garden is in full bloom!

temperature will be changing today as the cold front comes in but right now it is starting the day at 60 I bet by time I go to bed it will be in the 40's. All the outside pots are empty and put away. The garden is as good as it gets unless I really start to have some energy this late fall early winter and rake up some pine needles to put around plants.

I love this happy, richly colorful quilt and your plans for the border.
Like you, I like directional fabrics to be right side up in the final layout. Years ago I made a quilt I called Arctic Blast as I used winter fabrics and made it one cold January. Five of the fabrics I used for this wall quilt are directional (snowy trees!) and am happy to say all of the trees are right side up!!

Hugs!

Good for you getting those first columns sewn together...
that little bird print is really pretty...;)))
I went out early and did the final shop [I hope] for T-Day dinner and appetizers...I think I have everything...
It was only 32 this morning with a NW wind whipping about...
Looks like we may get rain or a few of those white flakes on Thanksgiving...
I am going in for a nap!!! Hugs, Julierose
