Time for a binding............

I chose the binding fabric for the pink/green triangle quilt about 2 weeks ago and thought I needed to get busy and cut it.

I decided the binding just needed to blend in and not be too obvious.  I started the hand sewing and have one long side done.

The Redbud trees aren't happy with a dry summer again and there are many branches with yellow leaves.

There are lots of leaves on the ground too.  I have 6 Redbud trees in the backyard so the final mowing this year should chop a lot of leaves.

Our 25 yo crape myrtles quit blooming all together and dropped a few leaves from lack of rain. We've been here 4 years and that has not happened until this year. When we first looked at the house (late September 2020) they were blooming madly - beautiful white blooms - and it was my "sign" that this was the right house, since white crape myrtles are my favorite. We did finally get some rain last night. Fingers crossed for more.

Pretty binding choice for this one;)))
Our lawn has a lot of Ash leaves which turn violent yellow in the Fall...But it's been so windy that a lot of them have blown away;)))
Only 51 this morning..but still sunny...making beef stew--feels like the Season has turned when that sounds good to eat;)))
Hugs, Julierose

Your binding looks totally different than what the yardage looks like. And I love it. As it finishes off this quilt perfectly.

Not crazy about that print, but as binding it looks great! When I was mowing this weekend lots of leaves are falling. At least there is rain in the forecast for the next three days.

That binding is perfect! I was out in the yard today and I predict that I will start marathon leaf blowing in the next 2 weeks and that will last about 6 weeks. We have SO many big trees!

We have leaves falling and near elder son's house it literally smells like fall. I think you picked a winner for that pink and green binding!!

Perfect fabric choice for the pink and green quilt, I remember this design but wasn't aware of the green colourway.

Another perfect fabric for a perfect binding! Ah, the joys of stash.
We just lost another redbud. It is shocking how fast they can die after long periods of no rain. Hope yours all recover.
