A final decision: I would just make 2 more blocks and then sew it together. I made the 2 blocks last night and now I will decide if any blocks need to be moved and then sew it together. I will still have the option to make one or two more blocks if I'm not entirely happy with it. The photos aren't totally accurate so what I'm seeing on the design wall looks a little different than the photo.
Hope all went well yesterday and that there were NO issues! I love the idea of a nine patch color wash - and what you have on the wall looks amazing on the computer screen here. Have fun tweaking.
It looks great on my screen and makes me smile when I see it.
The eclipse ~ I was outside doing some cleaning up when it supposedly happened and had forgotten all about it. And as you know we were not in its path at all, but news coverage was enough for me. No one works anymore so I guess that is why there was so many hundreds of people out there watching.
Love the quilt and the only suggestion I have about tweaking, is perhaps the greens should go between the blues and yellows since blue and yellow make green?
In Virginia, the eclipse wasn't near us at all, but the sunshine was oddly weak for a time.
Lovely QIP--colors are just so soft and lovely, Wanda;))) 68 (!) here today so I could sit out on the deck @ 11 a.m. for a bit... Made a Shepherd's Pie for our dinner tonight and did housekeeping chores... Going to watch the Red Sox Home opener this afternoon... Hugs, Julierose
Very striking. Probably not a lot of tweaks needed. But as you say, the photo does not tell the real story because of color accuracy.
ReplyDeleteIt looks great!
ReplyDeleteI like it! Did you see the eclipse?
