I pressed the 9 patches from yesterday and put one from each set of 4 up on the design wall. I sewed 3 more strips sets and pressed them too and cut the segments for 9 patches. I need to get busy today and cut some more batting to match with tops since I didn't get it done last week. Then I can get the roll of batting off my tables to makes space for something I am working on.

Lazy day.............
This Hugs and Kisses flannel quilt was unpinned from the longarm frame and trimmed and that was it. No ambition to do any more. Some days are like that.

Those 9-patches look so pretty together--like a dish of lifesaver candies with those colors...
ReplyDelete32 here this morning, but nice and sunny. Doing some Quilt book inspirational reading this morning to try to figure out why none of my things "appeal" to me lately....I think I like "big" quilts best really...???

I sure understand about getting your quilt off the long arm and calling it a day. And yet you continued pressing and did some cutting and sewing too. This aging we are now in takes a lot of energy for sure.
ReplyDeleteYour 9 patch layout and fabrics are so pretty and I know theres way more to come. . .

sometimes we don't feel like doing something in the sewing room - we all need a day off now and then
ReplyDeleteI like the color progression for the nine-patches. I'm intrigued by your closing statement about "a project I'm working on"!
ReplyDeleteHugs and Kisses is wonderful and the time for choosing binding fabric will come sooner or later. No worries!
ReplyDeleteThe more 9 Patches are on your design wall the more I love the quilt. What happy colors!
Hugs!
Pretty nine pathches. Everyone deserves to take a lazy day from time to time.
ReplyDeleteGetting the quilt off the log arm and trimmed is great! Don’t poo poo that work! Now it’s all prepared for binding. The 9 patch blocks are so pretty! I won’t have any thing to post tomorrow because I came home from work, got something to eat and fell asleep in my sewing chair. We all have days where we don’t get as much done as we want.
ReplyDeleteLovely color work on those nine-patches.
ReplyDeleteAll good...better than good!! xo
ReplyDeleteGetting it off the longarm must have been a relief. Nice group of blocks hanging out on the wall.
