A sewing day.................

This flannel baby quilt top is sewn, border chosen, cut and sewn on.  Pressing tomorrow morning.

The second flannel baby quilt top is 4" tumblers.  I decided to sew several identical sections of 6 tumblers before starting to design the quilt top.

Here is the start of the design process.  I wrote my blog post before I finished sewing it together so I'll show the top tomorrow.  I'll also work on my monthly recap.  My photo editing program was acting up last night so I hope I don't have problems tonight.

Good luck with your photo editing program--so frustrating when it acts up!!

plan to take a walk on the Sports Park trail--Tom does the .8 mi I do half that...right now. Aiming to do the whole thing this coming year--if my back will allow!!

  3. those look nice and soft. I have two different sizes of tumbler blocks and although I started to cut blocks out once with scraps I never used them.

  4. Your fabrics always are so unique and full of fun. These two flannels are no exception. I REALLY like the border you added to your plaids and stripes. And now your tumblers have yet again such fun prints. Charming patterns for each one.

  5. Holy Toledo! Do you have sewing elves that put the flannel quilt top together as you slept or sewed so much of it together that you could finish the top and 1st border all in one day? Love this quilt!

The tumbler quilt is amazing going together really quickly, too.

    Applause, applause!

    Hugs!

  6. Wow you sewed the log flannel top together fast! And then to get started on another one! I decided at the last minute to make zippered pouches to put the taco seasoning and marigold seeds in when I hand them out at the women’s Xmas lunch next Thursday. I got most of them cut out tonight. They won’t take long to put together since the material is already quilted. I am cutting up some wall hangings that were rejects.
