I put this quilt top on the design wall at a level that I could reach above it to put a border up there. That meant bending over to add the border audition to the bottom so it is quite crooked. I think I will need 13 Geese blocks so with the new batch I sewed I have enough for a top and bottom border.
A new book arrived yesterday, a gift from my daughter. I might spend some quality time with it today.
I can't put my blocks on my design wall straight either, why I put it behind my cutting table is beyond me🤣the layout looks stunning,a good cup of coffee with that book in hand will make or a good start for the morning!
What a lovely gift;))) 74 here now at just about 8 o'clock with 72 DP-- gosh I wish this heat wave would leave!! Everything out on our deck is all full of dew--too wet right now to even try to sit...somehow I don't think we will be doing that today... Hugs, Julierose
You might consider a skinny strip to separate the crazy patches from the geese. It looks as though you did that between the panel and the crazy patches. Thanks for the reminder about the new book!
Those geese look good as a border! A new Kaffe book is a wonderful gift! I love looking at his books and I am lucky the library has a wonderful collection of them.
The geese make a good border to lengthen the quilt, the elephant centre panel is beautiful. Hope you're enjoying the latest Kaffe book, mine should be here in around one week, can't wait!!
