Just two more seams and a good press are my first project today. Then I'll do the staystitching around the edge so the many seam ends can't pop open. It is 51" tall. Width will be measured soon. It will just need one width of fabric for the back.
Some quilts left my house this week. My granddaughter's friend had a new baby girl and she already had a little boy so these 2 went to baby and big brother.
Another of her friends had a baby boy and the parents like yellow so the one on the left went to the little guy. The one on the right went to a dear friend of my little great-grandson and his parents.
My granddaughter claimed this one for my great-grandson because she has 4 kitties and this quilt is full of Laurel Burch kitty prints on both front and back.
That kitty baby quilt is so cute--and the yellow one so pretty...

that is nice having so many quilts depart the house - I need to soon shuffle more out of the house as well - when I saw my brother at the beginning of the week I brought one to him

Lucky babies to get your quilts! The gorgeous watercolor could be the background of a liturgical hanging, a background for an Easter-empty cross. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteTHose are such beautiful quilts heading out into the world!! and your color quilt - wow - that is really cool!
ReplyDeleteColor Wash is another ‘striking’ work of art. As ALL of your color washes are.
ReplyDeleteAnd what a fun day for Grand daughter’s friend to select special quilts from Exuberant Color’s studios. You are a wonderful giving lady.

I love it when quilts find their new forever homes!
ReplyDeleteColor Wash is wonderful and you're so close to being finished with the top!! Good for you!
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful that these other one-of-a-kind-on-the-planet quilts that you've made have gone to new owners who will love them, enjoy the colors and fabrics you used, and keep warm under them.
Hugs!
Phew, from the 4th to the 7th, look at that progress on the colourwash!!! Love it.
ReplyDeleteThe color wash piece is looking great! Isn't it wonderful to have a stash of small quilts!
ReplyDeleteThe colorwash is a stunner! There will be a few happy little ones when they receive the quilts. Slashed Squares is a good design for kiddies quilts and working with a set number of fabrics works well for a little one.
