I finished this quilt top 7 years ago and it has been waiting in line too long. I had chosen the backing a couple years ago and had cut the batting too, anticipating its turn for finishing.
It got trimmed last night and I'm ready to choose binding. I love the backing fabric, one of the Liberty fabric collections which had Kaffe doing the colorations. I have enough of it for binding but I'm going to look for other candidates too.
Congratulations on finishing the quilting on this one--it is so beautiful
ReplyDeleteSleepless night here with remaining sinus problems--so up early
Still pretty warm--42 degrees..hugs, Julierose
Sometimes quilt tops need to age properly before they can be finished. Kind of like people! Another lovely finish.

ReplyDeleteWhat a glorious quilt and am glad its time for being quilted has come! The backing fabric couldn't have been a better choice and I look forward to seeing what you choose for binding in due time.

It is beautiful quilt. It looks terrific. And done!
ReplyDeleteThis quilt is glorious, no other word for it, loaded with colour so who could ask for more! I made a quilt with this pattern for my grand-daughter a few years ago, followed exactly the pattern and colour (blue and purple) in the KF book, I really do think I need to make another one now! You've made my day with this.
ReplyDeleteWow! That looks complicated. It's a beauty.
ReplyDeleteYou are a constant source of inspiration. Thank you! And, I'm in love with this quilt. Did you use an Accuquilt die to cut it? I'm tempted to try making one.
