I had to finally make the decision how to cut this large print for the border of the Australian fabric 16 patch quilt top. I decided on matching borders for the 2 long sides and liked it and did the 2 end borders the same way. I like the way the border just blends into the 16 patch center. 61.5" x 77.5".
This closer view shows the variety of colors in the border fabric.
Happy to see the border that I too, liked best… the scalloped pattern on this border fabric, pulls you right in. Adding charisma to the main body of this patch quilt top.
Love how those reddish half circles face into the quilt--really nice border choice and cutting... 42 here and cloudy--rain predicted along with thunderstorms tonight... finally got my food shopping done! Now for a nap;))) hugs, Julierose

Awesome border fabric choice! I love the way my eye/brain tell me there's a scallop border, but all the work done by the fabric.

ReplyDeleteSo pleased you’ve shown a close up view of the border, the detail is amazing and complements the blocks beautifully.
