A lot of time was spent hand stitching yesterday. I'm proving I have made it around 3 corners with just one long side to go.
The photo is too light but I couldn't get it to adjust any darker. I'm trying to show here that there is purple in the backing fabric too so the binding is great on both sides of the quilt.
How about one more photo of the pretty cactus bloom.
Sunny day yesterday and we did make it up to 50, almost to our normal high for this date.
Yeah! Only one more side to stitch and you will have another finish for the month! The cactus is so pretty.
ReplyDeleteGrest colors in the quilt, especially on a gray day here. Lovely bloom!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the extra cactus bloom photo - it is just exquisite. And the color combinations in your almost-finished quilt are divine.
ReplyDeleteMETICULOUS work on your binding and it sure shows in the photo. . . And your champagne blossom looks so elegant in this photo.

I had to look back a couple of posts to see what you were binding. My goodness that is a gorgeous quilt in glorious colors.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I've ever seen a champagne colored Christmas cactus or is that an Easter cactus? Whatever it is I love that bloom. So exciting to see this time of year.
I love that dotty binding!
