Pink hearts................

I'm continuing with the heart blocks I started last month and I'm up to 44 now and there are some ready to be cut that I will sew tonight.  The blocks are  6" so right now (with 4 blocks to be added) it is only 36" x 48".  If I make12 more blocks it would be 42" x 48".  Or I could add a border (and only add 4 more blocks).  So many decisions/choices.

I washed the batik quilt I just finished that has the warm and plush batting in it.  I remember now that this batting shrinks a little more than the 80/20 batting I use most of the time.  This one is really crinkly now.

  1. I really like an all cotton batting for that very reason. I love a crinkly quilt.

  3. I know not everyone likes the warm crinkly look but I do but yes you always get some shrinkage and sometimes so much more than you expect.

  4. Seeing more of the hearts together lets the pink really glow. What a happy quilt top it will be. Add me to the "love crinkly quilts" list, please.

  6. I do love a quilt with a crinkly cotton batting and I also like the weight of a cotton batt.
