No complete finishes in September but I did get a quilt top sewn together. I started this quilt on July 6th and finished the top on September 22nd. I have named it Charley in the Forest. It is all Kaffe Fassett collective and Charley Harper fabrics except for one Martha Negley print. The complete story is back on this post. There were so many decisions to make on this one and I really wasn't sure how big it was going to be when I started. It is 67" x 89".
In the previous 2 months I had 6 finishes and no quilt tops so I'm closer to get back to an even balance for the year for tops/finishes.
I am 12 blocks into my newest project. I'm pretty sure I will be able to finish this one this month because I have the majority of the pieces already cut.
Nice work on both of these beauties!! I like how the new project is coming together...

Love Charley in the Forest!
ReplyDeleteI really like both of these!
ReplyDeleteGreat name for your forest quilt. I was going to make another Arboretum this year for the fall but didn't get around to it. Yours is inspiring me.
ReplyDeleteCharley is fabulous! So much to look at and explore! Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteI really like Charley! The two block types complement each other nicely.
ReplyDeleteUh huh, and you prompted another purchase by me too, that Karla Alexander book. You're making great progress and I'm loving it.
ReplyDeleteBoth of these two quilt tops just glisten with your ‘exuberant color’ fabrics. Clicking on your home page and to have these two appear on the screen took my breath away. Your enthusiasm for creating makes my day every day.

Quality not quantity! Charley in the Forest is fabulous! I really like the look of the squares. The fabric choices truly impacts the design.
