I haven't sewn the 9 pieces for the blocks together yet. I'm trying to decide if I want positive/negative blocks or all alike in value placement. I'll sew more of the 4 triangle squares together so I can play with more blocks on the design wall.
All 4 of the buds are open now on the red Amaryllis.
This one is such a pretty shade of red too.
The orange blooms are so pretty too. A few more buds should be open today or tomorrow.
that is a hard choice on the blocks--they are all so pretty!!
ReplyDeleteLovely blooms in your house...I like that orange-y cactus a lot...
^-^ Stay warm--really cold here brrr....

I kinda like that positive-negative thing you've got going on. Just sayin'...
ReplyDeleteThat block is fabulous, but so many triangles! Your plants are blooming so nice. What a great pop of color to see everyday!
ReplyDeleteI love it both ways. Love all of your fabric choices too.
ReplyDeleteI bought boxes of Amaryllis for presents this year and the other day remembered I bought one for myself. I opened the box and one very pale stalk was growing. Hopefully, it will green up in the window.
ReplyDeleteYou’ve got quite a decision to make on your ‘Cut Glass’ blocks. Both look positive and negative look great. I know you’ll create this piece with your usual pizazz.
ReplyDeleteThis is the first time I bought Amaryllis ever and it was a pkg. of 3 Amaryllis at Costco. Gave 2 away and kept one. The gift plants ~ their stalks and blossoms were like yours. Mine had very short stubby stalks but lots of beautiful blossoms. It was fun to compare the growth from all of them. I decided our tinted windows didn’t allow enough sun for mine… maybe.

P.S. What I thought I typed …. till I looked again tonight …. I meant to say, ‘Both positive and negative look great !’
ReplyDeleteBeautiful blocks and cheery pretty flowers. Looks fun at your house
