Last top finished for December........

I sewed the bottom row on this Kaffe orphan block quilt top yesterday.  It is 48" x 63.5".  The light fabrics on the 3 Starry Path blocks aren't Kaffe fabrics but everything else is a Kaffe Collective fabric.  I'll look for backing fabrics on Saturday.

We have a snow storm coming Saturday with 4-8" of snow predicted and then the frigid weather will be here for a couple days.  It sounds like good sewing weather to me.

  1. I love the variety of blocks and the bright color fabrics you used for your latest project. Looks fun and happy! With cold weather coming, I’m sure that staying inside and sewing will be a great way to keep you busy. I have family visiting for the holidays and we have been enjoying warm weather and doing lots of outdoors activities. Next week they’ll head home and cooler weather will come our way. I plan on keeping myself busy sewing, too! Happy New Year!!!

we are fog-bound this morning with 45 degree temps...
I am so out-of-sync--today is Friday..right? Holidays always seem to get my days all mixed up....sometimes I think I need a "day-clock".;)))

Anyway--I hope your New Year will be a very happy and healthy one

  5. It's amazing how well these orphan blocks go together, like you planned it that way. Of course, I know it was a lot of work to make it look like it was planned. Beautiful finish to end 2021. Happy New Year.

  10. What a wonderful finish for those orphan blocks :-)
We "think" our snow storm is over here in the PNW. This much snow and cold is not normal for us.
I hope you have a fabulous, safe, healthy New Year

  11. It’s been a good lesson in balancing blocks/colors watching you but this one together. I was glad when you removed the spacer piece from the top of the star blocks on the right as it validated my instincts that it didn’t “fit’. Such a pleasure seeing your work, thank you!
