I tried to load a photo for my blog last night and Blogger wouldn't cooperate. I had a most boring day so there isn't much to talk about. Windows had an update and I wonder if that has anything to do with it.
I have a question though for PC owners, have you upgraded to Windows 11? I had a message that my computer qualifies for the upgrade but I haven't done it yet.

I have been reading other bloggers who are having trouble posting photos. I haven't upgraded to Windows 11 yet either. I'm interested to see what other people have to say about this.
A year or so ago, I was having computer problems AFTER a Windows update. I subscribed to Geek Squad each year when I first purchased computer. I contacted them and they REMOVED that update from my computer! The technician said that a lot of folks had experienced problems--I was not the only one. I would highly recommend GEEK SQUAD!!! (Why in the world do we need constant updates on phones and computers?) I now will not accept an update unless forced to such as our phones. With Geek Squad at least I AM in control of computer updates! They'll also scan your computer to check for infiltrations.
I have 10 and having problems leaving comments sometimes on blogs that use blogger. I will leave a comment and my screen freezes - I can copy the comment I left and then close out the screen and reopen the blog and cut and paste the comment and try send again and it almost always goes through the second time - but it has just started to do this the last week or so - I am assuming it is a blogger issue as I have no problem leaving a comment on blogs that are not through blogger
Google Blogger changed so much of our control... that I don't use it any longer, although I do still have the Notes... blog... just no time to post to it. I did a quick search for the problem on Google, and suggested clearing your cache and rebooting the computer as the first place to start. Relatively benign as fixes go. So try it. As for Win 11 and how well it work on you computer depends a lot on how old it is and the devices you have connected (printers, scanners, CD/DVD) and if the drivers are compatible with the new Operating System. Often the 'new' OS makes an old machine even slower. So my suggestion is to skip Win 11 until more reviews are in, from actual users.
My phone and computer updated on the same night! I think they are still speaking to each other... Even though I use a Microsoft product (Surface), I do everything through Chrome because Blogger seems to work better with it. But don't ask me how I figured that out; I'm technologically impaired.
I'm not a blogger, but I have noticed that email notifications of new posts are coming at odd times, often a day or two late. Of course, it's well past when they said email notifications would no longer work. I have a Chromebook so I don't use Windows and my husband's computer is so old it's still using Windows 7. Now that he's passed away, I will probably just retire it.

My husband upgraded on his, but I haven't as I am leery about how blogger will react on 11. I am seeing quite a few people having trouble with photo uploads lately...don't tell me there is ANOTHER change coming to us...;000

I usually wait quite a while for the new, improved, updates to work out the usual kinks. Good luck.

I have not gone to Windows 11 yet. I tend to wait until the last minute. Let them work out all the bugs first.
I have Windows 10 but not received the 'offer' of an upgrade to 11, yet. If I do I shall wait and see and maybe give them time to iron out any problems. On Thursday's email your last paragraph had RED fonts - I guessed you didn't do that? This was the part written in RED -
(I think I fixed this, there is a place to "add people to receive notice of comments" so it looks like maybe the comments will come to my email again.)
I was going to say a couple of other bloggers mentioned photo upload issues as well. So cold comfort that you are not alone.
As to the Windows question, Beth@IHaveANotion has it - while your computer may be fine, it's things like printers/scanners and old software and how it works with the new is the question. I'd suggest waiting a bit, and while you do, check out if there are reports of issues involving the things you do use. Check your printer brand site if they have drivers, the software if it's Win11 compatible, etc. I wouldn't take MicroSoft's word for it. One good thing is that this doesn't *seem* to be a huge jump like Win8 to Win10 was.
I have not upgraded from Win 10.
I could not load any photos in Blogger last night. I have a Mac with the latest system. When I went to load the picture, a big minus sign showed up in the window. Restarted the computer and all. Have not tried it this morning. I thought maybe because I disparaged them, that they were exacting retribution.
DH did the upgrade to Windows 11 on his PC - he likes it. And it hasn't interfered with his ability to work on his woodturning guild's website/blog (WIX). I haven't tried to create a new post in Blogger since earlier this week. I'll find out soon whether I have the same kind of issues as others (sigh).
No - I have not "upgraded" to Win 11 yet - I will resist as long as possible - LOL. I doubt that this is your problem - but the last time I had trouble loading photos - it was to Picasa (before Google Photos) and I had reached my storage limit - ;))
I’ve read of others having issues with uploading photos too. It’s a shame when things change like that….so frustrating too.
I haven't upgraded yet. Since I use my computer for work, I wanted to make sure I didn't do anything scary that might cause computer problems until after our big meeting.
My IT son said to not upgrade. So, I am waiting until the glitches are fixed.
