I spent some time on the layout of Coneflower 2 yesterday and last night started sewing it together. I just have 3 long seams left to sew. It looks so pretty all piled up there.
I sorted all of the 4" quarter square triangles into colors and values. These are all cut from scraps a couple months ago. I started sewing some of them together yesterday morning. No project in mind but they might be used as fillers in a Kaffe orphan block quilt top.
We're supposed to get a lot of rain today and tomorrow. Our trees and bushes will love it.

Oh my yes! I do love the coneflowers all "bunched up". Such a lovely fall feeling quilt.

the colors all do look pretty - rain here too but late afternoon - hope it does come the last couple times they said rain we barely got any as it almost died out before it got here and we have not had much since the end of July.
Just loving that coneflower's colorations..so pretty all scrunched up there....it will be so gorgeous...
Only 42 degrees here this morning--we put our heat on...hugs, Julierose
Your coneflowers colors are glorious! Well done. (And I have a love-hate affair with flat quilt photos. We need them to see the overall design but bunched up like your photo today reveals so more of the quilt’s soul or essence. Since I make most of my quilts to be used, the bunched up impact matters a lot to me.)
Coneflower is gorgeous. Looks so lovely rumpled there.
