Searching for coordinates..........

While I was working in the basement on other things I decided to look for coordinating fabrics for the Coneflower print.  I didn't find many and you know how bored I would be working with just 3 fabrics in a quilt.  It is likely that the Coneflower print will just get added in to other multi-fabric quilts.

I pruned all of the dead leaf sections off my tomato plants so now more air can circulate through them plus the inner parts will get a little sunshine.  We had a big storm come through Tuesday but we only got .65" of rain.  The tomato plants loved it though.

  1. Yes, a quilt with only three prints would be out of character for you! I am sure that now that the coneflower print is fresh in your mind it will get used in the next project that it will fit into. I bet your tomatoes are much happier with the haircut you gave them. I found a recipe for fresh tomato soup so I think I will grow some tomatoes next year. I don't like tomatoes raw. The recipe calls for roasting the tomatoes before they are turned into soup.

  2. I did a bunch of trimming yesterday and planting of some perennials I was hanging onto till they got bigger. Rain the night before helped. Picking fabric is fun and draining. I am sure you will find what you want.

  3. If you were to make a quilt with only 3 fabrics we would think that you were ill. :)

  4. It will be interesting to see how you use each of these fabrics. Each has a distinct personality of their own.

I discovered there is a seedless tomato now. I’m temped to pot one next year. My goofy diet states no tomato’s unless skins and seeds removed. I’ve done that several times but, you sure need a large tomato to begin with.

  5. Only three fabrics? No way! Our tomatoes did well this year but next year we are only going to plant one variety of "cherry" tomatoes (the golden color ones - super sweet with very few seeds).
