I have no idea if I'm on the right path for my recreation of Autumn Coneflowers but I don't mind having extra blocks that I don't use.
Monday night there are 2 new NCIS shows on TV so I'll sew a lot more blocks then.
Below is the photo of the original Autumn Coneflowers so I can see it with the blocks I have already made. I'm not shooting for an exact recreation, just a general feel of it.
Lovely saturated colors. The feel of the quilt is gorgeous and rich.
ReplyDeleteI need to check the new line up of fall shows I like the NCIS shows and heard some will be on Monday - I will set up to record (or whatever you call it now - stream?)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the heads up on NCIS. I hadn't heard it was moving to Mondays and would have missed it. Guess I'll get caught up on stitching down bindings now (my handwork during TV watching as I can't see the TV from my machine location). I'm liking the Coneflower 16 patches.

Beautiful blocks. I'll have to try that as those are my colors. I don't like the looks of the NCIS previews where Gibbs is blown up in a boat accident. Can't wait to see what happens though.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you are not trying to recreate it "to the letter" - the original is stunning but I know the newer edition will be as well.
ReplyDeleteI loe making 16 patch blocks. Yours are absolutely stunning
ReplyDeleteI really love it so far, and of course, the original, too. Squares are just one of my favorite building blocks. They are so "honest" somehow!
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty colors and a really fun quilt to make! I used your method a while back and makes me want to make another one. We keep getting lots of rain down here in GA. Wish I could share some! Happy Stitching!
