30 blocks......................

It took me until 3:30 to get all of the pop-up shop purchases boxed up and delivered to the post office yesterday.  The weather has been nice again for a few days.  It's too bad we are going back to 90s again over the weekend.

Last night I sewed the other 15 blocks and put all 30 up on the design wall.  I didn't think I liked the combinations when I had only 15 blocks done but now I like it.  I might do a little more rearranging of blocks before I sew them.  This will be a baby quilt 40" x 48".  I have lots of the Kaffe cloud fabric in blue so that will probably go on the back.

This is the view from my sewing chair.  I moved the Economy blocks over to put the 16 patch blocks up.  Next I need to cut the black/white Sharks teeth sashing for the Economy blocks.

  4. Interesting perspective to see the sixteen patch blocks AND the economy blocks on the same design wall -- I've not make 12" economy blocks before (mine were 6" in the last quilt). Yes, this will be a wonderful baby quilt!!

  6. This is such a pretty baby quilt — soft colors, yet not even slightly boring! I used to associate lighter hues with 'boring' but seeing fabrics such as you've included, used so effectively, I've changed my thinking! Whoever receives this will be one lucky baby!

  7. Baby quilt fabrics are so refreshing…. A soft, comforting, cuddler for baby boy or girl.
