Partially sewn..................

I have the floral colorwash 2/3 sewn in one direction.  Maybe I will get it finished today.

I went through the Kaffe flying geese box and pulled out all of the ones in the colors of the orphan blocks.  I don't know if they will remain on the right edge or if they will stay in the order they are now.  Just in the gathering stage right now.

The Redbuds are just ready to open and we have a small amount of snow predicted for tomorrow.  It is going to go down below freezing two nights so I'm hoping it won't freeze all of the buds.

My white Bleeding Heart has flowers forming.

Two of the Dianthus plants had one bloom.  It is such a hardy plant and comes back year after year.  There are usually Columbines right near this and I don't see any signs of them.

  1. My pink bleeding hearts are just beginning to shoot up; they were a gift from a friend's array in her woodland...a good harbinger of Spring...
nice progress on your quilt projects...hugs, Julierose

  3. The Kaffe piece is looking good. I like the flying geese along the right side. You seem to have something new everyday in your yard/garden. I keep looking everyday to see if my marigold or zinnia seeds are coming up.

  5. My tulips opened today so I ran around taking photos. Supposedly snow on Wed., but I am not worried because it is supposed to be a trace- much better than hail or sleet. So good to see your top almost sewn up.

  7. I hope your redbud buds don't freeze! I was surprised ours bloomed so well after the extreme cold we had (for us anyway). I love your colorwash. And those orphan blocks look better than anyone else's I've ever seen. I wish I had your color sense! You're a blessing.
