Batik Pineapple Log Cabin quilt top sewn.............
One of the 3 quilt tops is sewn together. I usually cut my setting triangles oversized so the center design floats. It is 45" x 58.5". I thought it was going to be narrower than 45" so I could use just one width for backing. Now I'll have to get creative. I have several long narrow pieces of batiks cut away from other backings so I'll look there first. This one won't get quilted this month because I have 6 planned ahead of it.
Strange looking fabric to go with your blocks but it works. I like how you solved the problem of fixing the corners triangles. Still raining here daily but not as bad as the weather forecast predicted. Temps slowly risen to 11c/52f today but back to 3c/38f by Sunday. Hope the weather is being kinder to you :)

Looks terrific. How do you size the setting triangles so they are bigger than the edge left for them? I have an app that will calculate the size dependent on the size of the block sizes at the edge, so I don't know how to make the setting triangles bigger. The oversize triangles look so much better than ones that just meet the body of the quilt.
What is your favorite stage of quilt making ? Do your fabrics trigger a design ? Or does the design come first ?
Designing thoughts, searching your stash for fabrics, stitching blocks, layout on design board, more stitching, pressing, long arm quilting, and binding. Hours upon hours goes into each and every quilt. That's why I quilt through osmosis through you. 🤗

I would never have used that fabric for the setting triangles--but I love it.
