Merry Christmas!.............

Last night I baked Very Berry scones for Christmas breakfast.  I forgot to take the picture until after I tested them....they are yummy.

I used this mix for the scones.

The wax coated Amaryllis is still trying to open and bloom.

There is still no sign of what color it will be.  Maybe it will open some more today.

My pale pink cacti has 2 blooms but I didn't get a photo while it was still light yesterday...maybe today.

We are down to one week to wrap up all pending projects by New Year's Day.  I would like to start out the new year with every table top cleaned off.  Wish me luck, I'll need it.

Merry Christmas!! to you too. Here is to a "boring" 2021 so we can fill it with our own excitement!!! The dreaded HSS (horizontal surface syndrome)... if its flat and clear put something on it!! Happens here too. Luck has been sent! My one Cactus is budding up again and fixing for another bloom. Maybe for New Years???? The orchids are getting ready for blooms too.

I mentioned I'm not a baker, but those scones look delicious with the berry mix - I'll have to have a look for something like that to try. I hope your Amaryllis opens soon - sounds like you are getting excited about it haha. We had a little snow overnight but it's gone now. Hope you achieve all your goals before the year end. Christmas wishes from Yorkshire (do you make Yorkshire puddings?) and keep smiling :)

I find the King Arthur brand excellent. My husband has celiac, so I use their gluten free flour and mixes when I can find them. The taste and quality are superb. I wish the cactus could pump out a few more blooms for Christmas here. Good luck cleaning off the surfaces, don't think I have the mental energy to do it today.

Merry Christmas morning! We love scones and those look delicious. King Arther recipes are so good (try the chocolate cake!) so I would trust their mixes too. Thanks for the recommendation!

Hmmm. I bought a package of the very same King Arthur scone mix a few weeks ago when it was on sale, then promptly forgot all about it. Maybe for tomorrow's breakfast. I need to get my Colorwash 360 piece quilted. I have the thread now, just need to get my act together. Merry Christmas.

Your scones look great! I made some orange cranberry walnut cookies. They are delicious, and I will be making some more for sure.

Scones look delicious, I can imagine them being warmed, adding melting butter on them. And your amaryllis looks like it's just hours away from its grand show.

I usually read all your above comments before I make mine. I was happy to learn Linda Swanekamp mention King Arthur makes a gluten free scone mix.

We had fresh banana cranberry bread - was a morning for baked goodies. Clean off and clear out all projects by January 1-EGADS, I would never in a million days get all that done. Good luck to you for what you are trying to clear away!
