28 blocks.........

Most of the fabrics in this solids with prints quilt will be novelty or conversation prints.  Occasionally I will fill in with another type to pull in a color that I think is missing.  The blocks will finish at 7" so I have a lot more blocks to make.  I think maybe this one will be 6 x 9, 54 blocks and would be 42" x 63" and it would be a small throw quilt.  My other thought is maybe this one will have a border.

I will be making blocks for 2 other quilts in the series too, cutting the pieces while the fabrics are still out and pressed.

In the background I'm still working on kits for my upcoming Colorwash 360 class.  I'm cutting a variety of different types of kits so there is a lot of pressing and cutting going on.  Class enrollment period will be soon.

What a fun group of blocks! I am sure they will go thru several arrangements before you settle on the final layout. Fun blocks to play with!

Oh. Those blocks are terrific. I didn't realize they are so small. Love the novelty prints. The friendship blocks are lovely too! I must have missed something - what series is that?

I’m constantly in awe of your skill working with busy prints…..my OCD, precision driven mind generally don’t let me go there but so happy to be inspired by your work!!

The pickle block is looking much better with the other blocks. I'm guessing it is because there are other yellowish-greenish fabrics that help it play with others better?

Those solids really pull the prints together.

I’m really tempted to try my hand on one of those types of quilts, made with blocks like you’ve been working on which match a solid and a novelty fabric in each block. I might do the one you’ve already finished, the bordered nine patch, or the one you’re working one now with the rectangle. I will be hand piecing the blocks as my hand has recovered from surgery to repair my arthritic right thumb and I’m again able to hand sew! So happy to be back in business! So it will be a very long term project, but I need one which will be fun, and this will fit the bill!

I love this series of solid with novelty print. I went to your source and have bookmarked several and want to try at least one. I have a collection of solids but don't have a lot of novelty prints yet. I have started buying a few here and there. I just need to cut some and put them together.
