I have been calling this one Onion Rings Strippy but as I see it all sewn together I think I need to call it Basketweave. The Onion Ring fabric by Brandon Mably gives a consistent weave pattern. It is 60" x 75.5". I briefly thought about putting on a 3" Onion Ring border but I think instead I'll use that fabric as the binding.
While I was in the basement doing the photography I decided to cut another quilt with Marcia Derse fabric. I had so much fun making the Beachy quilt with this shape and I want to make a quilt with the other layout I consdered for that one. I'll cut the triangle corners today and this will be a mindless sewing project for the next few nights.

The Onion Rings fabric will be perfect for the binding.
Lots of movement in this one; great onion rings fabric. hugs from afar Julierose
Congrats on your latest quilt top finish!
The onion rings really "make" that quilt.
It's going to be a hot one today Wanda! I think your quilt is so pretty, and instead of a border, your decision to use the rings as a binding will work so much better. Love the colors of the fabrics you cut for the mindless sewing quilt. Good day to stay inside, with the humidity already at 92 percent.
The OR fabric really makes this so much moreish than a scrappy quilt. I love it.
I agree with the others; the onion rings ties this together nicely and will make a good binding.
Basketweave is a perfect name! I love it. The Marcia Derse fabrics are beautiful. I love mindless sewing. Waiting breathlessly for a reveal.
Congratulations on the quilt top finish - I love that the onion ring fabric will be used for the binding. Have fun playing with the newly cut pieces.
Gorgeous!
Looks terrific. The new fabrics cut up look wonderful.
Sensational Basket Weave quilt top. And as others have stated the onion ring fabric makes this piece sing !
Fun octagon pieces waiting in line to be used.

Love the Basketweave quilt, great finish!
So happy to see this quilt finished! I adore that onion ring fabric. It’s one of the few fabrics of which I immediately bought more than my usual 1/2 yard. And I’m excited to see you start another Marcia Derse quilt. I was actually quite relieved that all the bundles of her fabric had already sold before I got to your pop-up shop. I don’t think I could’ve let them pass me by if there had still been any available, and I really don’t need any more fabric! REALLY. I’m having a hard time getting anything done because my sewing room is so crowded and disorganized with too much fabric!
Me encantan , los retazos se ven geniales.
saludos
Oh gosh…..I love this one!!!!!
