I finished straightening up the basement and did 3 more 20 minute rows of quilting on the zipper quilt, 5 rows left to stitch.
Last night I baked cookies and I didn't even test them. That is willpower!
I just made a half batch of each which is 3 dozen cookies of each. I will test them at noon today.....or maybe I'll have one for breakfast......
The art quilters are coming today. Two of them were making Blooming 9 patch quilts and they finished the tops and they are being quilted now so we won't see the finished quilts until next time.
I would not have had the will power not to quality test each batch.
ReplyDeleteAre those peanut butter cookies? They look so good as well as the chocolate chip. I always find it hard to sleep when the house smells so good from baking cookies!
ReplyDeleteGood morning Wanda. You're a far better person that I could have been with those cookies. Case in point! I baked a lemon blueberry pound cake with cream cheese frosting yesterday afternoon, and after it had cooled and sat on the counter for a couple of hours, I told my husband we had to quality control taste it, and cut a small piece from the end and shared it with him. It was the first time making this particular recipe, and it was very good. After we have some today, I will divide the loaf into 2 piece sections, store them in plastic bags, and put them in the freezer. Have a good day with your art quilters.
ReplyDeletewe love homemade cookies here and they are gone in a flash so I rarely make them anymore - I just like them too much
ReplyDeleteIt was a cookie baking day yesterday for me too. 12 dozen chocolate chip ! 6 dozen will be shipped off to my sister, who had a stroke almost 4.5 years ago now. The rest will be eaten by my husband. I can't have gluten, sugar, or dairy. Not fun ! But I know you are having fun with your art quilters today and eating all your delicious cookies.

I want one of those chocolate chip ones!
ReplyDeleteWanda,
ReplyDeleteSince we aren't there to share the cookies, could you please share your recipes? I know they are yummy and delicious! Your art quilters are so lucky to have you and your home open to them.

The way I see it, it's INCONSIDERATE not to test the cookies! What if you accidentally used salt instead of sugar? You have to make sure by tasting! (That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.) ;)
