Completed, the zipper quilt. Ditch quilted on my straight stitch machine, hand finished binding. It is 59" x 71".
The large leaf print is a full width strip and the other smaller leaf fabric is the rest of the width of the backing. It was a long piece leftover from the backing on another quilt.
Friday I sewed the borders on the wonky heart quilt and then loaded it on the longarm. Yesterday afternoon I quilted it
I quilted in many size loops with a variegated Rainbows Superior brand thread on top, bottom line by Superior in the bobbin.
I changed my mind on the backing fabric. I had originally pulled a yellow background with large numbers all over it but then I saw this piece of flannel and decided to use it instead. The binding is the same fabric as the border. I will show the finished quilt tomorrow.

Just lovely finishes--I really like your choice of flannel backing on that heart quilt--it really goes so well hugs, Julierose
Oh my goodness - you are going to have two more finishes for the month! Way to go! The zipper quilt turned out so pretty! I like the red fabric for the back of the heart quilt. It goes good with the front reds.
The zipper quilt turned out beautifully. I love all the colors.
Love your zipper quilt. I love to study your color combos and mix of values.
That last-minute-choice for the backing of the heart quilt is PERFECT. Congrats on the zipper quilt finish - so many interesting fabrics to look at.

Love, love, love that Wonky Hearts quilt! Backing is perfect, too.
Great finishes! Lots of color and pizazz!
I love the zippers quilt! The blocks really do look like zippers at first glance. And they made me grin the minute I looked at the picture.
Your zipper quilt seems to vibrate with colour, it's a beauty.
