Is it time yet?..........

I rarely ever buy kits unless the fabric is one of my favorite groups and there is a great sale.  I bought this kit from Craftsy (now Blueprint) on leap year day at a great price.  Yes, leap year day 4 years ago.  I love the quilt and of course I love the Kaffe Fassett collective fabric.  I think I will start cutting it next week.  Maybe I'll get it all together before leap year day this year.  Maybe.......

  2. Gorgeous! I'm not a kit buyer either but about a year and a half ago I succumbed. It has yet to be cut but keeps getting closer to the top of the list.

  4. They are beautiful fabrics Wanda, but, if I were a betting woman, I'd be willing to bet that there's no MAYBE in that post regarding the fact that it won't be cut and put together by the 29th. of February. lol

  5. :) I have at least 3 kits I bought about 3 years ago that I still have to make. At times I think to just add the fabric to the stash bins as I don't know if I will make the quilts! Two of the quilt kits are in solids and now I don't now if I would want to make them in solids. It is amazing at times how long we can hang on to kits before we make them

  7. I am assuming a kit comes with a specific design using all those beautiful fabrics ? ? Or can you redesign it to your liking ?

  8. If you're going to make an exception, that looks like a really good one! Though I suspect you might see a few ways to add a few Wanda-specific flourishes along the way...
One of my current projects is a several-years-old Judy Niemeyer/Timeless Treasures kit... Saw the promo pic and loved the design & colors so much, I couldn't resist.
    Enjoy the day!

  9. Pretty fabrics. I have heard that sometimes it is cheaper to buy a kit than the individual fabrics, and I know from experience that sometimes the more popular fabrics become out of stock but are still available in a kit. So I look for the kits, even if I don't really care for the pattern.

  11. I do like the pattern and it goes without saying that I love the fabrics! I once bought a kit from Glorious Color which featured in one of Kaffe's books and I thoroughly enjoyed making it.
