A little quilting............
I finally got around to quilting the center part of this African colorwash. I still have to quilt the border. I have a Christmas party to go to today and when I get home I'll get back to work on my projects. I have to press the backing I seamed 2 days ago and get it loaded on the longarm. It is supposed to get up to 60 in Chicago but it sounds like we will be a few degrees cooler out here in farmland. We got rain last night and more coming tonight. I am so thankful it isn't snow.

Your fabric is so bright and colorful. And, what a wonderful border print you've found. I can't wait to see the finished quilt!
Your African quilt is such fun to look at, I know you will be showing us it all completed soon. Can you tell me how many quilts and projects you have in the works right now ?
We're living in a snow globe today. It's a pretty slow falling snow. We're only to get 2" if that, so well see. We had your warm temps a week ago, that you're having now, with the weather usually moving east, you might be seeing our snow in a few days.

Sounds like you are having incredible weather for this time of the year. I didn't realize that you were that close to Chicago. I was raised 60 miles away in Michigan City, IN and I remember how cold those winters can be. I always love seeing your quilts, they are so bright and cheerful and the way you have of mixing fabrics and colors is so inspiring :)
Happy New Year!
Connie :)
Wonderful burst of color -- it has been dark and rainy all day - temps dropping from the 60s into the 30s overnight.
Hi what is the pattern. This is beautiful. I have a yellow brick road in African prints in progress.
I do like how the African fabrics have worked so very well as a colourwash, so very different!
I almost turned on the A/C last night; I was just too hot to sleep! It was 55 degrees! I opened the window and turned on my Dyson fan just to try an cool the room down. With the weather being so warm I did get my car washed and a good bit of the garage cleaned up. One of these days I know this will end and it will be cold and snowy, but I sure am enjoying this for now!
