Several projects...........

I didn't make any postage stamp blocks last week and only have two sewn so far this week.  No pressure, no plan from here on out.  I'll just make blocks when I feel like it.  I have the solids cut for 16 more blocks so I just need to cut the prints, 32 per block x 16 blocks is 512 little 1.5" print squares.  I am repeating prints because I usually cut more than one of a print, sometimes as many as 6 which is the number of squares on the die.
I had 28 scrappy batik Hunter Star blocks made so I cut some more pieces for 11 additional blocks.  I will continue to cut more.

I got a new die from Accuquilt when they were on sale and also had free shipping.  I thought this 6" wonky heart block would be great to cut up my kid prints.

The pieces fit together nicely.  I have had this kitty print for so many years; time to use it.

This is a GO! die that I can use with an adapter on my Studio die cutter and I can cut 6 layers at a time so that is 6 blocks, 3 positive and 3 negative in one run through the cutter.

I only cut 4 layers to try it out.

If I make a square baby quilt I might turn the hearts in all directions so some are right side up no matter which edge you are looking at.

The humidity dropped yesterday so it was comfortable to work outside.  I had a couple sessions of pulling weeds and cutting volunteer trees.  My blackberry lilies are still blooming.

Love your postage stamp blocks. you know I had to make one too. Hee hee. I have a ton of 1.5 cut as it us part of cleaning scraps. Just have to cut more solids to play again.
Your lily is so pretty. I have a hit oubk and white one, some sunny yellow ones and yellow and orange. Pretty.....

Good morning Wanda. I love your new Wonky Heart die, and think the initial layout would make a great quilt for baby or toddler age, but when you turn the blocks in different directions, it reminds me of arrows instead of hearts. Just my opinion, and the way my brain perceives it, I guess. Yesterday was a great day to be outside, and I hope today will be as well, as we have another great grandchild birthday party to attend. Have a good day, and I hope we get some rain soon, as the grass and ground are in desperate need of it.

The heart is definitely a fun die - works great with the brights but I bet it would work well with florals or less intense prints, too.

I love that new die, but the fabrics you used really make the block special. It just pops with fun colors.

Oh, dear - I have all three of those dies - and all kinds of ideas are around in my head. On the Wonky Heart one - since it is asymmetrical - you could also lay some of the fabrics wrong side up and get a "reverse" version - ;))

Loved your new 'Wonky Heart Block'. And the fabrics are perfect for them. If our weather travels east, it should be cooling way down for you soon. After our short thunder storm this afternoon, it was only 77 degrees. And the mountains look like autumn tonight.

Hi Wanda,
Love your stamp block. Am I right to say that when you make those, you take any color for the printed fabric? I am cutting 2 inches squares from my scraps fabric and would like to try your technique. Thanks for sharing your beautiful work with us. Have a good day.

A great die to add to your collection. We don't have anywhere near as good a choice of dies here, they are pretty expensive by the time they're shipped out to an agent here, then into the stores. You could quickly work through a collection of kiddies fabrics with this.
