Quilting finished.............

Since my straight stitch machine is so quiet I decided to finish quilting the Kaffe x and + quilt while my 2 friends were here working on their projects.  I also got it trimmed and cut the binding strips.  I thought I would be Superwoman after they left and make 8 six inch blocks for my Farm Girl Vintage quilt and also cut 42 new fabrics for my batik colorwash360 kits.
Instead I did go to Walm*rt and walk 3200 steps and picked up a few groceries but then I came home and just spent some quality time with my new Kaffe book.  I will do the other projects today.  Reality hit: I am not Superwoman.

  1. LOL sometimes we all have to admit we are not superwoman - I do that sometimes too!

  2. I love the text fabric in your new quilt. And the colors. The new book looks inspirational. My sister in law spends a month in the Cotswalds every other year or so and her pictures have been phenomenal. Sadly, Superwoman is just a cartoon character.

  3. LOL....I agree. Super Woman was a long time ago. She went on permanent retirement from here. Sounds like you did just enough for the day.

  7. Oh, yeah - I tried that Superwoman thing and gave it up. Slow and steady works better for me. I just received my copy of the new book and am enjoying the photography. There are 2 or 3 quilts I want to resize to make new toppers for our kitchen table (next year!).
