Since my straight stitch machine is so quiet I decided to finish quilting the Kaffe x and + quilt while my 2 friends were here working on their projects. I also got it trimmed and cut the binding strips. I thought I would be Superwoman after they left and make 8 six inch blocks for my Farm Girl Vintage quilt and also cut 42 new fabrics for my batik colorwash360 kits.
Instead I did go to Walm*rt and walk 3200 steps and picked up a few groceries but then I came home and just spent some quality time with my new Kaffe book. I will do the other projects today. Reality hit: I am not Superwoman.
LOL sometimes we all have to admit we are not superwoman - I do that sometimes too!
ReplyDeleteI love the text fabric in your new quilt. And the colors. The new book looks inspirational. My sister in law spends a month in the Cotswalds every other year or so and her pictures have been phenomenal. Sadly, Superwoman is just a cartoon character.
ReplyDeleteLOL....I agree. Super Woman was a long time ago. She went on permanent retirement from here. Sounds like you did just enough for the day.
ReplyDeleteI think you're Super Woman!! I am amazed at how much you get done in a day.....every day.... You Go Girl!!
ReplyDeleteYou are "super" enough woman ;))) you do get a whole lot done...
ReplyDeleteI am re-folding and evaluating my stash...amazing what is and isn't in there...
who knew--and that is the problem, right? hugs, Julierose P.S. rest up...
Dear Superwoman, love that x and + quilt!
ReplyDeleteOh, yeah - I tried that Superwoman thing and gave it up. Slow and steady works better for me. I just received my copy of the new book and am enjoying the photography. There are 2 or 3 quilts I want to resize to make new toppers for our kitchen table (next year!).
ReplyDeleteI not only think you are superwoman...I know you are!!!
ReplyDeleteYou Wanda, might think you're not superwoman, but you sure had a SUPER DAY , And then to sit down and enjoy your new Kaffe Fassett magazine. Couldn't be any better than that.
ReplyDeleteJJM
And then I called and put a monkey wrench in your day! Please forgive and forget my request. My friend and I will work it out. LOVE the backing fabric you chose for your Kaffe x and + quilt!
ReplyDeleteI think you're Superwoman, too! You get more done in one day than I get done in a week - LOL - ;))
ReplyDeletelol. I hear you! I'm sure you will get that done tomorrow plus some.
ReplyDeleteYou accomplished a lot - more than enough☺
ReplyDeleteI'm another who once had Superwoman powers but not any longer. Are you enjoying the new book?
