Just squeaked in under the wire, finish #18 for 2018. It is 29.25" x 41". I will do my 2018 recap in the next few days and colorwash wallhangings were in the majority for finishes.
For the binding on this one I chose a dark brown with a lighter brown swirl in it. Purple and brown are my two most used colors for binding on a colorwash because they seem to look best with all of the colors at the edge.
I wish all of you a happy and healthy new year!
I don't do resolutions but I do promise myself a few things, one of which is to get rid of "stuff" I don't need to simplify my life. I'm hoping to spend more time on that in January, either an hour every day or 1-2 days a week. I just have to figure out what works best into my routine. I think today should be a planning and inventory day.
Happy New Year, Wanda! I also want to get rid of excess stuff. It just takes a energy, and (for me) courage.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year, Wanda.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year Wanda! You are a daily inspiration!
ReplyDeleteI need to get rid of stuff too and I'm talking sewing room and other things - there is too much "stuff" around.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Years!
I'm glad you managed to get your lovely quilt finished by the end of the year. I'll also be joining you in getting rid of 'stuff', not not until the weather gets a bit warmer and I feel like going into 'that room'. It's milder today and I'm washing and sewing, in between emailing. Best wishes to you for the coming New Year and I'm looking forward to your next project/s :)
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year Wanda, and we all knew you would get #18 done, even if it was, under the wire. Looking forward to seeing the sun, possibly tomorrow or Thursday. It's been rather gloomy in our neck of the woods.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year, Wanda! Congratulations on meeting your goal of 18 quilts-all beauties. Looking forward to what 2019 brings with your creativity. Happy clearing out the house, too. Marnie
ReplyDeleteHappy and blessed new year to you. Your last quilt for 2018 is beautiful. Looking forward to all your daily updates in 2019.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year Wanda. Good luck with getting rid of stuff. I am also working on the same with an hour or so per day. So far I’ve not been very successful. I will use you as my motivation. Looking forward to see what 2019 has in store.
ReplyDeleteThe question is, will it be "19 for 2019"? It might be time to break the pattern now before the number grows even more!

Another exuberant Colorwash to end 2018. I can hardly wait to see your recap of all of them.
ReplyDeleteMay your New a Year be full of good health ! If we have our health we have happiness (^._.^)

Happy New Year. Another beautiful quilt. The brown binding looks great.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year to you, too. Getting rid of stuff is an ongoing challenge here. The current project involves boxes of slides and drawers full of negatives. We inherited all the slides/photos from both sides of the family and don't want to burden our sons with the excessive quantities. Culling and labeling are where we are for now.
