I took some closeups of the variety of fabrics used.
Remember they are all clickable to enlarge even more.
This poor little piece of cactus is still in a cup on my windowsill after more than a year. It bloomed here last year too. It has huge roots now so I really need to get it planted soon. I just added a little water to the cup every time I noticed it was dry.
My 5 day pop-up shop will close tomorrow at 10 p.m. EST

I love those little snippets of color in the close-ups. My cactus has bloomed and I almost missed it!!! I keep it in the living room, where I rarely venture most days. I had a little one, from my plant... too, but gave that one away in October. They do very well if just stuck in moist dirt. No replanting until it is root bound.
Once again you created a masterpiece of color. I love the close up photos to reveal the variety of delightful fabric you used.
Is your baby cactus in water or soil? You've created yet another beauty and using rectangles rather than squares gives it a very interesting twist.
Seeing your fabric choices up close is wonderful...love your fabric choices. I always love your blog. Love your Christmas cactus pics too!
Really pretty fabrics equals a lovely Color wash. My cactus branches in water are blooming slowly.
Your eye for color placement is amazing Wanda, and so is this quilt. Kind of chilly out there this morning, but it's better than snow.
COLORWASH SPLENDER ! And your close up photos of sections are wonderful for visual tutorials.

Another "wanderful" colorwash. Thanks for the close-ups of the sections. I discovered some fabrics that I have in my own stash. Not that I could create the same effect, but I guess it technically mean it would be possible. Love the photos of your cati as well. About half of mine are in bloom.

This one is SO beautiful. I admire your talent at selecting and placing fabrics, Wanda. And for choosing to purchase those fabrics in the first place. I have too many of the "what the heck was I thinking fabrics" in my collection--- time to purge I think!
