I'm home, sore and have 6 weeks recovery, but part of that is sitting in a chair and walking around so I won't get blood clots so I'll be checking in now and then. The dr. says take lots of naps. Thanks everyone for your prayers and well wishes. I know the worldwide support helped me get through this surgery.
Splendid news, Wanda! My my: six weeks of chair patrol. Think of all the fun activities you can experience: sorting scraps. Kaffe research. Rereading/revisiting old books or finding new ones (need suggestions?). Hand sewing bindings. Whatever you are doing, take care and continue to keep us posted.
Hooray, Wanda! Thanks for letting us know! I thought about you all day Wednesday, trying to send good wishes your way. I know many others did too. Very best wishes for your recovery! Mary G. In CA
Good morning, Wanda, I was just telling my husband at breakfast a while ago, how much I missed your daily blog. And now that I am at my computer I am doubly overjoyed to learn that you are home and resting. Take care. We will all continue to send good vibes and heartfelt prayers your way. Marnie
It's such great news to learn you are back home to convalesce. I'm sure you'll get better rapidly being around your fabric and flowers!! :-) Blessings to you.
Blessings to you! We have been concerned and so glad to here you are home. Follow doctor's orders and we will look forward to hearing more of you soon.
I'm so happy to hear that you're home. Mind the doctor and take lots of naps. Take it easy while you heal. Sending all good wishes for a good recovery, Wanda.
Sure happy to hear you are at home. Take it easy...I know that will be hard since you are like the energizer bunny. So, so happy you are home, Wanda! Take care...
So happy you are home. Don't mess around with blood clots, I lost a very dear friend who was in her 40s to a clot. A year later her brother had one and the doctor didn't diagnose until pushed. I am terrified now. Not a good reaction, but it is mine. Enjoy the view but get up and walk on whatever schedule the doctor gave you.
Oh, so good you are home and not in a hospital bed. You will get stronger as you are around your yard and fabric. So grateful to hear from you! I will keep praying for your recovery!
Happy to know you're back home, looking at your beautiful garden while recuperating. Home's always so much better! And keep reminding yourself that people will be happy to help... whether it's carrying a project box to your dining room table so you can sort scraps for a future quilt, or bringing food, or weeding while you look on and direct the action. You have many friends and they will be delighted to come over and pitch in. Enjoy your naps... they feel so luxurious!
So glad you are home and on the mend. Your body will MAKE you take those naps, believe me. I was surprised that I needed way more naps in recovery than I did when I was younger. AND I know if you overdo it, your body WILL retaliate. xx, Carol
Doesn't it feel just great to be back at home and sleeping in your own bed? Aaaahhh, Be sure to rest a lot; I am sending my best prayers and wishes for a speedy recovery... at least the Summer weather will allow you to sit out a bit hopefully...hugsx2 Julierose
So glad to hear you are back home, Wanda! Continuing to keep you in thought and prayer...sending lots of positive thoughts your way as you heal and recover...... Take it easy and do what the doctor prescribed! Sandra B scb304@juno.com
Hooray for being able to continue healing at home - that environment is so much better than a hospital room. Continuing to send prayers and positive thoughts your way - every single day. Hugs to you!!
Major surgery and they send you home the next day ! You are one strong lady. So relieved to know your surgery went well and knowing you, you'll follow the doctors orders for 3 weeks. If you can last that long without getting antsy before you want to get back to your routine. But follow those doctors orders, it takes that long for your body to recover.
This was my recouping last year.... I was told to take it easy for 6 weeks after my surgeries. So I took off 12 ! Just to be safe. (*._.*) Then a month later a cataract had to be removed. Again another 6 weeks of no bending over because of complications... you guessed it, I took off another 12. I won't go on but soon the year was over.
So happy that there was no long hospital stay. Now follow Doctors orders, eat well, sit on the porch, watch the squirrels and birds, and read a book. We can wait for the next astounding idea you come up with.
Naps are good! I’m still doing a lot of naps myself almost 4 weeks after surgery although the visits from the littles ones wore me out too. Wishing you a swift and uncomplicated recovery.
Thank you for letting us know so quickly. You have been in many thoughts and prayers. Rest up, recover and enjoy the beautiful summer views outside. I know it won’t be easy for you..
Wanda, you are so considerate to let your devoted readers know how you're doing, and not leave us hanging. I'm sure you will make the most of your recuperation time. I'm adding my positive thoughts to your healing process.
Great news! Glad you are okay. Being surrounded by your flowers and fabric will help you recover. But I am still sending positive vibes and internet hugs.
I'm so happy all went well with surgery, and send many wishes for a good recovery. I agree with your doctor about the naps! I miss your posts and shot of color in my Saturday mornings.
Still praying. Now for a smooth and quick recovery!
