11 years ago today I started my blog and this is the 4226th post. I still love writing my posts and taking the photos for them.
I got 2 more blocks sewn and pressed for the X and + quilt. I have several more started too.
The Columbines bloomed quite awhile ago so I was really surprised to see 2 new blooms yesterday.
The Balloon flowers are starting to bloom. They are a much deeper blue but in full sunlight this is the color the camera picks up. There is one white bloom also over to the right
They are really a pretty flower but as the blooms die the plant looks pretty messy. I guess that means I should be out there deadheading at that point.
Happy Independence Day to US residents!!
CONGRATS on 11 years Wanda; I have been inspired by your blog daily for about 9 years (I was a little slow in joining the party) and appreciate you sharing your beautiful work! Amy

ReplyDeleteHappy Blogiversary Wanda. You are the Quilt Queen of Color! I have been a follower for awhile now.
ReplyDeleteI want to tackle the plaid half hexagon of yours I just mentioned in my 7/3 post.
I also have on my to-do list a colorwash of sorts. But the germ of an idea is to combine colorwash with a cubist quilter image.
Anyhoo, you are one of the many online inspirations in the quilting realm.
Happy Blogiversary, Wanda! I enjoy your posts and I've learned a lot about color and design from you. I'm glad you still enjoy posting - I hope you'll keep at it for a long time to come. Congrats!

ReplyDeleteHappy Blogiversary! My blogiversary is coming up too, and I was looking at some of my older posts. Very interesting to see what has changed and what has stayed the same.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the blog anniversary. It takes a lot of commitment to keep a blog going that long. Also love your X-plus blocks. One of these days I'm going to make an X-plus quilt.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Wanda, for the many hours of design inspiration, instruction, and pure joy you have provided. I often go back to check out earlier posts to follow the history of some of your projects. I marvel at the energy you have to get so much done, not only in the quilt studio, but in the garden as well. I look forward to many more posts and I'm glad you still enjoy blogging as so many others have migrated to other social media which I don't have time for.
ReplyDeleteLove the color of that late blooming Columbine. You should scatter its seeds around when it matures.
Pat
