Four more blocks are finished. I'm using some of the same fabrics in several blocks. I could have made every block entirely different fabrics because I have that many different Kaffe fabrics but I don't think it would add anything to the end look. I have one more block to make to have 35 which would make a quilt 50" x 70".
My poor Annabelle Hydrangeas got beaten down by the rain over a week ago and the stems are fragile so I don't think I could attempt to tie them up at this point. The ones at the front of the house are worse than this.
The Coneflowers started to bloom earlier this week. I'll have to get out there and take more photos.
My granddaughter and I were out and about yesterday and had lunch at Smash Burger. I first learned about that place in NC in 2012. Shortly afterwards there was one in a town about 25 miles from me. Their french fries are really good.
We also had heavy rain that sorta smashed my petunias in the pots. This morning is very cool, so welcome after the heat. I’m waiting to see this quilt on your design wall, it’s going to be so pretty.
ReplyDeleteI am so intrigued by your Kaffe blocks. They have a fantastic look all their own.
ReplyDeleteI had a hydrangea suddenly die - I love the plant but they don't love me.
No Smash Burgers here - but we have Five Guys and they're great.
ReplyDeleteI can hardly wait to see all your blocks up on your wall. Fascinating to watch your progress.
ReplyDeleteYesterday (Friday) the two fella's that founded the 'Smash Burgers' was on the Megan Kelly program. I had never heard of them before and you tell us you have one near by, the very next day was like.... Really ~. Us mountain folk get all the "B" team restaurant chains in our area.
Still waiting for a Olive Garden, Red Lobster, Panera Bread and the like.
