My snow plow guy has retired from his day job and is now available for odd jobs. I had asked him a year ago if he could pull out the bushes along my driveway and he said he would think about it. Now he had time and with the help of his little machine he pulled out 5 scraggly bushes plus a ton of volunteer maple trees and other volunteer bushes and trees.
He smoothed out the dirt so now I can plant flowers along there. He also pulled out some bushes on the other side of the driveway.
My son and I headed to my eye appointment with the eye specialist in Chicago and hit the worst backup on the tollway. I had to have another injection for swelling and fluid in the eye which is caused by the radiation treatment 5 1/2 years ago. Hopefully this is a one and done and not a series of shots. The previous shots over a year ago improved my vision. We left at 7:30 a.m. and didn't get home until 3 p.m.
That is great those bushes, etc are out of there and you can plant flowers. That will be pretty! I have a Alberta spruce that I cut down last winter and tried to dig out the stump unsuccessfully. My brother was over and said he could pull it out with the van, but that hasn't happened yet. I have my fingers crossed the shot will do it's job and help your eye.
ReplyDeleteGood that those bushes are gone. Thinking mega-positive thoughts for the shot's helpful results.
ReplyDeleteHopefully, the injection is definitely a one and done, because, just the thought of it, makes me want to run for the hills. lol As long as it takes care of the problem, it will definitely be worth it.
ReplyDeleteI sure hope the injection will do what it should and you won't have to have more - that is a long day for an appointment and the driving - have fun planting your flowers
ReplyDeleteSorry the traffic was so bad, but even with the backup it was worth it.
ReplyDeleteWOW--that is great to find a "guy" who does that work...just to get someone to answer the phone around here is tough...I'll be interested to see what flowers you choose to plant along the drive...hugs, Julierose

ReplyDeleteI'm sure that would have been an exhausting day yesterday. I hope you were able to rest up once the shot was given and you arrived home.
It's always nice to have someone help with the things you can't do, especially those yard things. Now you can plan new flower beds!
I hope today is a lovely day for you.

I hope it is the one and done too. It sounds like a really long day of sitting in traffic. UGH.
ReplyDeleteYou will have so much fun planting flowers in your newly created area. I'm glad the snow plow guy "thought about it" and DID IT.
Praying your eye will settle down and be stable. Tough day for you.
ReplyDeleteSpring is the time for change and projects.
ReplyDeletePraying for your eyes.

I so agree with everyone else with their concerns for your eye. Your doctor is one savvy opthomologist and we are trusting his expertise with your eye. You never complain about the procedure but I can only imagine, what it must be like. Prayers for excellent results.
ReplyDeleteGosh I'd love to have a little machine like your guy that has helped you with your Landscaping. (*._.*) Knowing you, soon as weather permits you'll be out there planting your flowers.

That was a heck of a long trip and tiring I would imagine. I hope the shot works quickly to improve your vision. I could use your guy at my place with that machine, it would save an awful lot of time clearing a good part of our garden. Have fun choosing which flowers to plant!
ReplyDeleteBest of luck with your injection results.
