I have decided the next neutral quilt will be bricks and I will use these dies to cut the pieces. The brick is a finished 3" x 6" size and I will need 3" finished squares for the beginnings and ends of every other row. I may come up with one more quilt to cut at the same time.
Cutting two at a time is novel. I will cut extra pieces to add to a scrappy quilt. I think your Studio cutter is so neat. Wish I had the space for one. I need to get more sewn up and ut of there to make space. Enjoy this January thaw. Cold weather is to come. Chris
Good morning Wanda.....I'm looking forward to seeing how you layout your new quilt. I made a brick quilt many years ago, which was really straight forward, but don't think that's what you have up your sleeve.
Happy we are getting a brief respite from the bitter cold we've been having.
Well now this looks more like one I could tackle (*._.*) Like Sylvia said, "you have something up your sleeve". Taking a simple pattern and designing it into something grand. . .

ReplyDeleteTwo at once is a great idea. I am interested to see how you assemble the bricks and what they look like on the design wall.
ReplyDeleteFollowing your lead, I have marked my dies like yours. I use the plain geometric ones a lot especially the HSTs. Love not having to trim them.

I see your notations on the die--is that the size of fabric you lay on the die?
