  4. Congratulations, Wanda, on the new shop. The site is beautifully organized! The quilts and quilt tops are delicious. I am withholding purchasing another until I make a quilt from the fabulous top I purchased earlier this summer. I hope you are having as much fun as we bloggers seem to be having enjoying your newest adventure.

  5. Love your new store!! It's wonderful viewing your quilts. I was going to buy some fabric but my MasterCard said, "not yet" so I'm glad someone else was able to purchase it.

  7. I loved looking at everything in your pop-up store. It must be hard, but I’m glad you’re doing it. Regardless of why you’re choosing this particular time, the fact is that we can’t take any of this with us, and we’re probably the best judges of how to price our work. It’s easier for you to sell it, than for your children to have to do so after your death.
Having just been a part of going through stuff after my father’s death this past summer, I appreciate more than ever the idea of cleaning out and not leaving tons of stuff for the heirs to figure out. It’s a lot easier said than done, and easier for some people than for others. But I wish you the best of luck in this effort of yours.
I hope it also brings you, not Judy money, but also joy when others love and want to purchase what you have made. I’ve only ever sold one quilt, and it’s not something I generally endeavor to do. I don’t put them for sale as a rule, but give them away. But it did make me very happy when somebody wanted to buy one of the few I’d put a price on.
I doubt I’ll be buying any of yours, as much as I love them, because I make my own, and already have more quilts than I ever could need. So I should and will spend my money on more needed things. But I’ll enjoy seeing your beautiful work and letting it continue to inspire me.
