I have 4 favorites from 2015. This first one is the banner I was commissioned to make for a friend's church. Here is a link to it installed at the church.
This is the first attempt at a colorwash with Kaffe Fassett fabrics. I think it turned out pretty nice and I have been cutting squares to do a larger one next.
I really like this Wonky rainbow wallhanging too. It was made mostly from strips already in the scrap bag. I just had to special cut a few colors including the last one that sort of serves as a border.
This X and + quilt was the rage on the internet after someone posted a photo of a quilt in a show in Japan. It does link back to a traditional block too. I now have the die for the long diagonal corner piece in each block so I don't have to use the connector corner method if I make it again. I really like this one and it is a nice couch quilt size.
Thanks everyone for the outpouring of love and good wishes yesterday. It brought several of us to tears as we read all of them. Last time I checked there were 93 messages of love from you readers of my blog. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, the heart that almost stopped beating.

All of these quilts are exuberant color! I particularity love the big colorwash as it made such a statement on the wall in the church. I wonder which diagonal die that is. There is a 50% off sale now. I not only love your work, but you as you are sharing, creative, a teacher, encourager, and have such terrific advice. I am ever so grateful for you. Can't wait to see what you will come up next.
so glad that people now heal quickly from heart procedures and get back to regular activity fast - I hope you will snap back quickly. I really like the X quilt and I have the die for it too -
Still praying for your health and heart. While I am loving the reviews and revival of earlier projects, I am anticipating what you will create next! You have inspired and stimulated our senses of color and design and shared a wealth of knowledge. Deepest thanks for all you have given to us.
Your assignment is to rest and heal and know we will be waiting all your good news of health. I know what a long and difficult road healing can be, but you have a huge cheering section. Everyone pulled me along, and I am pulling for you.
Sometimes, God just wants us to slowdown a bit and take it all in. I guess this was your rest stop moment. I wish you speedy recovery!
Love the scrappy X and + quilt. I want to make one. Hope you are feeling much better with the pacemaker.
Wishing you a fast recovery. I hope that all the wonderful thought being directed your way helps. ( I am one of your quiet, but very appreciative readers.)
Those are lovely.
FYI - I emailed Linda about which die for the x and + quilt.
Praying for a speedy recovery and thankful you are able to share with us again so soon. You are a daily inspiration for me, thank you for your encouragment.
Good morning,
Continued prayers. I heard that you were beginning to plan a quilt with hospital scrubs, gauze, and hospital bed sheets. Sending you my best wishes.
I was shocked to read your post from yesterday regarding your pacemaker installation, because when I read Friday's post stating you wouldn't be posting for a few days, I thought that you were going to the Sandwich fair and wanted to spend a couple of days, with your friends, walking around and enjoying it in this fabulous weather. Please know that I will add you to my prayer list. I know that the pacemaker will keep you on an even keel and you can continue on your Energizer Bunny routine. My hubby has had one for 4 years now and is as good as new and does everything he used to do, just a little slower since he 85. Hugs and best wishes.
Your love of colour shines through in all of these Wanda; I particularly like the x/+ quilt - it's on my 'some day' list. Glad that you are up to posting again.
I have been 'channeling' you lately and completed 3 quilt tops this past week. Now I am going to channel your can-do sprit and figure out how I can 'resize' a pattern after cutting the large center hexagon 1/4 inch short on all sides. (I hate it when a designer adds 1/4 to all but 1 piece!). Get well soon and I know you will be the energizer bunny of quilting once again.
Good morning, Wanda,
So good to hear from you and to see your 2015 highlights. All are spectacular. You not only have an exuberant talent with color, but with design as well. Thanks so much for sharing with your blog crowd.
I send wishes for continued good health. Please find another grass mower, at least for the rest of this year.

I so enjoy your blog. It's one of the first things I read every morning. I am always amazed at how much you accomplish each and every day. Take care of yourself and do what you need to do to return to full health.

Love the quilts. All bright and cheerful. Sending warm positive energy to you and your family.
It's lovely to look back with you, at your creativity and creations. You have been such an inspiration, especially with your attitude of appreciation for beauty and relationships, and your generosity. It's lovely, also, to look forward with you. Blessings to you for continued strength and joy.
Wanda, I think it might be time to hire a yard man! But seriously, please take care of yourself. Thank goodness you got yourself in to the doctor in timely manner. I am amazed daily when I open your blog post and see what your latest creation is. Not only by the wonderful quilts you design and produce, but even more so by how quickly you do it! All my best wishes for a speedy and strong recovery!
Wanda, I am so glad you were able to get the help you needed with your health issues and wish you all the best for a speedy recovery. You are an inspiration to so many, and you are loved by many, including those of us who only know you through your blog. Take care of yourself, and do what those doctors tell you!
I enjoy all your creations (and your garden, of which I am most jealous). I especially love the X and + and the H quilt, and just this week had decided it's time to do my H quilt. I hope my color combinations will be exuberant, too.
My thoughts and prayers are with you,
Kathi Harris
You are my daily dose of art - a jolt of color, a spicy dish of innovative quilting, an intimate peek into the garden which takes me back to the one I had in Chicago for 30 years (a distant memory here in Northern California). Best wishes for a speedy recovery!
Thinking of you, Wanda, and sending good, good wishes for you to be back to your "old" self soon. I've always thought of you as being in the Energizer Bunny family so I'm sure it's hard. Do as they say and feel better soon!
Get well soon Wanda and take it easy for a while. We can't afford to lose the quilts or cookies.

Thinking of you and hoping you are healing well and quickly. It is scary but
you are going to be all right and back at your creative best soon.
I'm so glad that you were able to get help quickly! I'm enjoying the retrospective and hope that you recover quickly. I'm sure that you will feel better than before!
A little more love and many good wishes that good health will continue. We share and care..XXX from NZ.
I continue to send positive thoughts your way. Can't wait to hear that you are convalescing at home. Someone wrote that it's time to get some help with your yard--I hope you will consider that.
I can't believe you have the energy to post on your blog. You are always thinking of all of your followers. I love your color wash that you made for your friends church. It looks amazing in the church, perfectly hung in the right place.
Then there was your big block color wash piece ... made me think that's how I should get started with trying to create a color wash.
Wonky rainbow and X and +. ... Your favorites are timeless.
Take good care Wanda.

hoping every day you are feeling stronger and continue to keep you on my prayers.
What a scare! I hope you realize how many of us look forward to your daily blog. You've seen me through my husband's decline and death. You've introduced me to Kaffe and Marcia, Africa and Australia, colorwash and 16-patch. Oh, yes, I made a red and purple 16-patch because you did!
Take care ... don't overdo mowing the lawn! But please keep doing and quilting and sharing and blogging.

Hi, Wanda,
I still love that X and Plus quilt... It inspired one of my own! (I should get around to quilting it, one of these days, ahem.)
I hope you're through the worst of the recent crisis, and starting to feel better. Take good care of yourself!
With love,
Frebblebit
Wanda, it's amazing when a quilt finds the perfect spot, like the Colorwash in the church. It's so inspirational there! I love the + & x quilt with the colors meshed together, like only you can do....it's "Wandazied". Continue your recovery and take this time to plan others projects! I'll be needing more of those wonderful dishcloths very soon, so keep those fingers busy! LOL. Hugs to you, Cindy P.
I love seeing your quilts and wish I was close enough to ask you to take me under your wing. Praying for your speedy recovery. Glad you were able to get the help you needed.
Oh my, what a shock for you and for us too. I cannot imagine you to come to a stop for anything so I sincerely hope you are on the mend and will be able to get back to your normal way of living and making more colourful wonders to share.Sending positive thoughts and lots of love for a good recovery.
It has been a joy browsing your favourites.

Wanda,
When you posted the other day that you wouldn't be posting fir a few days, I figured something was up, but I've been busy and didn't check up on you until now!! Oh, my, May God give you a speedy recovery and people to lend a hand. And don't act like a 3 year old, accept the help when offered. Remember how good you feel when you help someone, let others now do for you!
I love the Xs and +s quilt! So much movement, and, well, exuberant color!
