I spent 2 hours yesterday looking for a pattern; no, I didn't find it.
This is the table that is in the background every time I show a quilt on my longarm machine. I usually crop the photo hoping it isn't noticeable. I have decided it is time to take everything off the table, sorting as I go. This is the table my Studio die cutter used to be on. It has become a dumping spot. Time to fix that.
There were storms predicted yesterday late afternoon and evening. On the radar maps on TV it looked like we would get some rain. Not a drop at my house and we need the rain so I guess I'll be out there watering everything today.
I pre-ordered Kaffe Fasset's new book and I got a notice yesterday that I should receive it on Saturday. I hope it is a good one.
You have no idea how it pleases me to see your mess. I am not alone!
ReplyDeleteI think many of us are relieved to see that you make a creative mess - just like we do.
ReplyDeleteDitto, it is nice to know I am not alone in my creative mess:) Hope you find the pattern too!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like the table started out orderly. Sometimes, when. Am working, I don't realize how much rubble I am leaving around. Then, walking back into the room, it hits me. I think it takes longer and more energy to find places for everything than it does making something.
ReplyDeleteI had a couple of dumping grounds I cleaned up last weekend. It does feel good when those are tackled and cleaned up. I didn't know Kaffe had a new book coming out. I will have to keep my eye out for it. What is the name of it?
ReplyDeleteI try to clean my mess between each project. I have a small room and it's hard to contain the mess! I'm not always successful in cleaning - most times I just wind up moving piles of stuff to the side so I can work. Glad I'm not the only messy creator.
ReplyDeleteI get a mess like that sometimes too and you feel like you just have to take time to go through it and put it all away
ReplyDeleteThat is one BIG interesting PILE. Wish I was there to help you stack them and put them elsewhere. Lots of color and interesting STUFF. Quilt on!
ReplyDeleteMy new Kaffe book arrived a few days ago and I think it's great! I hope you like it, too. I have already ordered two kits for the patterns I like the most.
ReplyDeleteIf we were to be real I am sure we all have places like that!
ReplyDeleteGood luck sorting.. will you share how you group things and how you store them.. most of us have tables similar to yours.. thanks for sharing all of your projects!
ReplyDeleteNow that is quite a collage of fabric, I'd say. (*._.*) Fun to see you let things pile up too. I seem to acquire piles far too often.

Happy to hear I'm not the only one cropping out my creative clutter. Hope you find your pattern.
ReplyDeleteI knew we had something in common..!!! ha! What is the name of Kaffes new book..I need a treat..
ReplyDeleteIsn't it great to laugh out loud at all the comments and feel the cameraderie between all the "mess makers"!? If I could draw I'd draw a pic of me like Pigpen in Charlie Brown cartoons but it would be sewing clutter trailing along behind me!!
ReplyDeleteI love this picture........looks like a lot of interesting stuff shown. I did similar recently myself. Somehow not as interesting....
