After finishing vacuuming the basement I pressed 12 more Australian fabrics and cut the size I need for the Hunter Star. Then I sorted each fabric so they were all face up. I will get them cut this morning and then return to cleaning off the tables in the basement.
I went out around 4 p.m. to take some photos and fill the bird feeders. I walked into my neighbors' yard to take a picture of the Cannas. They are taller than me now but no blooms yet. Last year only 2 bloomed.
The whole row of tall hostas are blooming now with the sweet smelling flowers.
I dug up and split one hosta when I was planting my Shasta Daisies. I didn't think it was the tall variety but the flower is the same.
I need to either give this hosta to someone or get it planted next month.
Gorgeous fabrics.....and I am happy to report that I acquired some of them in my recent quest for a similar collection! But are you not bothered by cutting into a fabulous collection? Do you have a small stash of "last bits" of treasured fabrics? :)
ReplyDeleteYour Australian fabrics are gorgeous, and the hunter's star will be fantastic. I know hostas get a bad rap as boring beds around trees, and for those old fashion plain green ones I'd agree. Some of them do have wonderful flowers, and hummingbirds love them.
ReplyDeleteYour garden looks great as usual.
ReplyDeleteI have always been attracted to that white fabric with the black wavy design, but I have never bough any. All your Australian fabrics are gorgeous. The garden is beautiful too! I had a lot of thistle coming up in my flower bed. I just didn't have the time to get down on my hands and knees to dig it out so I hit them with some weed killer and that did the job!
