I really NEED to work on this one.........

I pulled out this quilt when my art quilter friends were here.  I really need to work on it.  If you are interested in the source for the pattern and the first blocks I made click here.

I had to go back to November 2015 to find the photo of the top sewn together and waiting for its 2 borders.  Click on photo for a closer view of the borders.  I really need to get them cut and hope that I can deal with the bias edge of the quilt without losing my cool.  The points will be trimmed off after I sew the first border on.....or maybe I'll just leave them on for stability and they will never be seen when it is finished.

Oh boy.....I remember when you started this one. I love the mix of colors but the on point layout would make me blind to have gotten this far! When I did the braid quilts, I attached the separator bands before trimming the points off. You just have to be so careful to not stretch it....as you know:)

I remember your post on that quilt and I cannot believe it was that long ago. The colors are so terrific. How about if you stay stitched just inside the diagonals before you trimmed the triangles? And starch the heck out of it. Can't wait to see it sewn!

I had forgotten this one - surprised it has been two years!

What a pretty quilt! The bias on the batiks doesn't stretch that easily and I find that as long as you are gentle with the handling, pressing and sewing you shouldn't have a problem.

As others have said, I can't believe it's been that long since you made the top. It's really pretty and I look forward to seeing the finished quilt.

Oh my goodness, Wanda, this is gorgeous! I haven't seen this one before. The white and grey sashing isn't a Kaffe fabric, is it?

I had the same kind of challenges this weekend adding a solid border to my postage stamp quilt. Fortunately I was in a group so I didn't spew the profanity that was itching to get out. I eventually got the border on after the second attempt. Good luck!

What a beauty to start to work on again. I know you will figure out how to tackle the bias edges of this one. Although I am glad it is you and not me. (*._.*)
