This new glass mixing bowl is one of my Mother's day gifts. My KitchenAid is old, probably from the 1980s but it still works great. I was never sure whether any of the accessories for it would fit mine since so many other models have come out. I have the stainless steel bowl that came with it but this one has a pouring spout which might be handy for cake batter.
My other gift is an assortment of Pampered Chef products and I'll take a photo later today. I don't spend a lot of time in the kitchen but when I do I like to have efficient tools that make cooking easier.
When I got home from our family dinner I spent some time in the back yard. I cut some dead parts of the black raspberry bushes, cut volunteer trees and dug out lilies from an area that doesn't get enough sunshine. It will give more space for the hostas to spread out. The Lungwort/Pulmonaria is still blooming. I love the spotted leaves.
I have a Kitchen Aid mixer that my daughter abandoned when she got married and bought a pro one. I would like one of those glass bowls so I could see what was going on and pour from it. I did not know you could buy those. The lungwort needs a different name as it is such a striking plant.
I wish my Kitchen Aide mixer was from the 80's - they made things better then. I love your glass bowl. I am on my second one, the first one lasted about 10 years maybe I don't remember what went wrong with it and I bought a second one, I only have had that one for about 3 years when I started to have problems with it. Mike keeps fixing it, but I have to keep adjusting a screw on it now or it makes a very loud thumping noise.
Happy Mothers Day. That pour spout will be wonderful. It's nice to know that the newer parts can be used with the older models. The best addition I added to mine is the scraper beater.
