5 blocks designed.........

I started designing star blocks in the morning yesterday.  This photo is daylight from west windows on a cloudy day.

This one was designed after lunch, also a daylight photo.

I sewed the 2 blocks pictured above and then designed the third one last night.

I was on a roll so I designed number 4 and then sewed 3 and 4.

While watching the weather segment last night I designed number 5 but haven't sewn it yet.

Here are the 19 blocks that are sewn.  I didn't notice the tilt of the photo until I got to the computer and by then I had turned off all of the lights in the basement and was too tired to start over.  Now that I am nearing 20 blocks I wonder if I could stick with it and make 10 more for a 5 x 6 layout or maybe even another 15 for a 5 x 7 layout.  The blocks are 12" finished size.

Beautiful! Are you planning to put smashing between the blocks?

Beautiful! 64 pieces per block.....that's a lot! Thank goodness for the accu-quilt! I always love to see the colors/fabrics you put together. You have a master's eye. Thank you for your continued inspiration!

Oh, lovely! The top one (Green w/yellow) is my favorite of this bunch. Your creativity brings a lot of joy to this observer. Thank you!

Wow, these are really pretty. I'm kinda leaning toward those blocks with purple, they are just gorgeous, all of them are really. You are on a creative roll again, just keep it going. Lots of eye candy for us.

Isn't it amazing what beautiful blocks we can make from simple unit? Squares and half-square triangles? Then add in some gorgeous batiks, designed by Wanda, and voila! Love seeing some of my "old favorite" batiks up there! Think I have just found what quilt I want to make next with my batik scraps! :)

Beautiful quilt. I'm motivated to make one like this now and will have to start cutting 1/2 square triangles from all my scraps.

I've loved watching these blocks come together and now they are looking like they will be a really pretty quilt. I've also enjoyed seeing different views of your garden. My Fuchsia's are putting out buds but it's been quite cold the past 2 days so hope it doesn't affect them. The Clematis are also in bud and some are opening. I'll take some photo's when they start to look pretty. Have a good productive weekend - I've been busy creating/making some stuffed toys, learning as I go and I love it :)

As always, I am enjoying seeing your blocks come together. It is a joy to me to "watch" you work! Catching up today, so I saw your Springtime collages and bean soup (We had some of that after Easter, too! We are having rampant growth here. Unfortunately a lot of it is weeds. We are working on getting rid of those!

I'd go for the 5 x 7 layout, it's going to be a beautiful quilt, and a good size!

I love your use of color and love all your blocks. Have you decided how you are going to put them together? Will you use a sashing?
