Here is my 86 year old friend Otis with his finished Trip Around the World quilt top. It is 78" x 98" and you can see by his smile that he is very pleased with it and happy that it is finished as of yesterday. It will go to the quilter soon and then he will gift it to a family member.
So nice your were able to help him. My step-father quilted until he became sick. I really enjoy seeing a man doing this type of work. It is really nice looking. That will be a treasure to the person receiving it. Chris
Be proud, Otis, it is a fabulous trip around the world. So glad you let Wanda, help with it and then share with us. I am loving all the wonderful colors you put together here.
Job well done! Please let Otis know how much his efforts are admired and wish him the best for the many quilts he will continue to make. Great fabric choices.
Please tell Otis that my husband and I are extremely impressed with his quilt. I enlarged the picture so we could see the fabrics and Wow, are they pretty. So kind of you to help him.
Wow!! Please pass along to Otis how wonderful I think his TAW is....it's stunning! And he looks younger than his 86 years, too ;-) It must give you great pleasure to help your friend finish his project.
Tell Otis that his Trip Around the world is just about the best, most interesting one I have ever seen. I taught quilting for 20 years and this is a beaut.
Otis, I am lost for words, this is (my own made up word ) Fabriluscious!!! You are amazing, and as I am 76, I am in total awe, and if I could ever quilt like that in 10 years, I would be so happy. I hope we get to see the quilt when it is quilted and bound, and who will be the lucky person to have and hold this in their arms? Thanks so much Wanda.
Well done to Otis and to you too for your input. I love Otis's choice of colours and TAW is so effective. A treasure and heirloom of which he can certainly be proud. Best Wishes from Liverpool, England, Jo x
