Otis and his TAW quilt top.........

Here is my 86 year old friend Otis with his finished Trip Around the World quilt top.  It is 78" x 98" and you can see by his smile that he is very pleased with it and happy that it is finished as of yesterday.  It will go to the quilter soon and then he will gift it to a family member.

  1. So nice your were able to help him. My step-father quilted until he became sick. I really enjoy seeing a man doing this type of work. It is really nice looking. That will be a treasure to the person receiving it. Chris

  3. Awesome choice of fabrics: there is movement across, up and down, AND also zinging out at us. How long did he work on that masterpiece???

  33. Otis, I am lost for words, this is (my own made up word ) Fabriluscious!!! You are amazing, and as I am 76, I am in total awe, and if I could ever quilt like that in 10 years, I would be so happy. I hope we get to see the quilt when it is quilted and bound, and who will be the lucky person to have and hold this in their arms? Thanks so much Wanda.
