December 2016 monthly recap.............

I'm not done with the 2016 collages so I decided to post the December 2016 recap instead today.  Hopefully I will post mid-day Monday with the yearly collages.  I finished 3 quilts in December, all in the last week of the month.
I finished one quilt top.  I decided it will not have borders and will be quilted soon.

I had one more that I thought was done but I have decided it will get borders so it will be in the January finishes instead.

I made 20 new mug rugs of which several are still for sale on my Wandaful Quilts blog (link above this post and also on the right sidebar).

I made 16 flannel pillowcases for gifts to my family.

It was a productive month.  I wanted to finish more quilts but just couldn't get motivated to do it.  It is so much more fun to procrastinate.......just kidding.

  1. Happy New Year! You are so productive that I'm chuckling to hear you mention procrastinating. I, too, am in a procrastinating mood. Perhaps it's the new year blues. Your scrappy, colorful work speaks to me and I look forward to each day's blog.

  2. Thanks for the chuckle, Wanda. Sometimes it is more fun to start a new project- or two - than it is to finish an old one. And sometimes I just need to feel inspired to continue with a design , I say some quilts need to percolate a bit. Nice finishes!

  3. You certainly motivate me. I love to sew, it is just the holiday season has so many people responsibilities that I can't even sit at the machine. After a couple days away to reflect on our goals and priorities, I came home to my son and wife having the flu, so I have the grandkids since Saturday afternoon. Great kids, but at 6 and 4, they wear me out!

  8. You certainly had a productive December! I love the pink and green quilt, I was looking at your Fractured Pansies quilt yesterday in Strips that Sizzle, I thought it was a beauty as soon as I bought the book, many years ago now!
