Stitching away.........

I quilted some mug rugs but haven't trimmed them or chosen binding yet.  I have a huge stack to do but I have a couple Christmas projects to do too.  I like to work on a variety of things so a little will get done on each.
I finished sewing the last 24 purple 16 patch blocks.  I have 2 alike of every combination and this is one of each.  I need to make some more blocks so I will be repeating some of the fabrics.  This may be stalled for awhile while I do some deadline sewing.

  1. I love the colors and designs of the mug rugs. I need to do some of that sewing again because I love the look.

  2. Good morning Wanda....just waiting for my butter to soften before starting to bake for the day, and enlarged the picture of the purple 16 blocks so I could see the detail of the fabrics. They are all beautiful, but there are some that stand out more than others. Purple being my favorite color, it's hard not to love everything about it. Will look forward to seeing the finished product next year.

Sounds like we're going to have more snow this weekend, so we will stay inside where it's nice and warm.

  3. Very pretty mug rugs and I love the purple quilt top you are working on. Its a wonder you can get anything new to sew at this holiday season. I keep looking at some of my fabric and I'm ready to start sewing now. But I can't.....

  4. Thanks for the great idea--working on a variety of projects so a little gets done on each. I have been trying to go with one project until finished. Gets a little discouraging! Yours is a great method--thank you!!

  6. Lovely on the purples. Every time I fetch my Christmas cactus from under the porch bench and put them in the window...I think of you!!!

  8. I always love to see what you're doing, Wanda. Your purple reminds me of a scrappy trips around the world I made for Ruthie. I gave it to one of her nurses. Those mug rugs are pretty.
