I removed these two flowers from my Seed Packet layout.
I replaced them with two from this fabric, one yellow and one pink. I need to move the squares back over to the double wall now so I can continue. Yesterday was errand day so not much got done in the studio.
What I want for Christmas is your talent for blending fabrics and colors. It's so difficult for me so I always stay on the 'safe side' when making quilts. Have you [in the past] shared your secrets in fabric combinations? I'd love to read it.
Totally enjoy your blog and HAPPY HOLIDAYS, Katie from www.westiejulep.blogspot.com
I have used the top colourway of the PJ fabric in a few quilts and love it but I can see that fitting it in with your wonderful bright seed packet flowers would have been problematic. Looking forward to your next posting of the quilt on the display wall.
I love swiss cheese fabrics! (I learned that "name" from one of my early teachers at JCCFS during a kaleidoscope class).
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see it again on the wall!

ReplyDeleteI always have such a hard time cutting holes in fabrics. Those should fit it perfectly.
